The Department of Awesome News

  • The Privates will release a new five-track EP, Motion, on Theory 8 Records on April 3.  They'll be celebrating the release that night at the Basement, but prior to that they'll be performing a new type of show where they back a local Nashville solo artist and then perform a set directly after.  The first show will be February 28th with Tristen at The Five Post.
  • White Rabbits will release the follow-up to their phenomenal 2007 debut, Fort Nightly, on May 19.  Their sophomore album, It's Frightening, was produced by Spoon's Britt Daniel and mixed by Mike McCarthy, so yeah, it's going to be freaking awesome. Mark your calendars, kids.
