Wednesday night is the official start of this year's Next Big Nashville festival, and like last year - things are kicking off with a film. (Unlike last year, I think it's safe to say that we won't be seeing quite so much up on the screen in the Belcourt this time around. Um, yeah.)
Anyway, the Nashville premiere of Make Out With Violence is absolutely my pick for Wednesday night at the festival, especially with the final performance by The Non-Commissioned Officers wrapping up the night. There will be a screening at 6:30 p.m. and then one at 8:45 p.m., with the Non-Coms taking the stage at 11 p.m.
I'll have a mini-interview with The Non-Commissioned Officers up soon, in the meantime check out the film's website, this blurb on the NBN blog and the film review in the Nashville Scene.
There are two showcases going on Wednesday night as well - at 12th and Porter and the adjacent Lot 7. Check out the full schedule and a bunch of preview mp3s after the jump.
