Well it's a cold and rainy election night in Tennessee and the results are rolling in. Hopefully I can help you celebrate, cheer you up, or just warm you up with a bunch of great new music tonight. Here's what's on the agenda:
The featured album of the week is So Divided by ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead. I didn't pay much attention to this band until I heard the excellent "Wasted State of Mind" a few weeks ago (which I played on my show a few weeks ago), and the rest of the album is just as surprising and great. I'll play three songs off the record tonight so you can hear a bit of it before next week's release date.
Tonight's free mp3 of the week comes from a band called The Shivers. Gorilla vs. Bear pointed me to the track last week; it's actually a preview from the forthcoming Phone Calls, set for a release any day now on Outer Borough Records.
