Bonnaro Preview: Jenny Lewis

Guys love her and girls want to be her; it seems Jenny Lewis can do no wrong.  After releasing two solo records and five records with the band Rilo Kiley, the lady is still on fire.  2006 marked the release of Rabbit Fur Coat, the alt country twinged album put together with the Watson Twins, followed by a rockier, folkier record Acid Tounge in 2008.

Ms. Lewis has done quite a bit of traveling to promote both records, including a stop or two in Nashville over the past few years and I am sad to say that I was one of the few folks who missed out on these events.  But from what I have heard (thanks to an NPR podcast) this lady brings it live - with a fantastic band that includes established musician Johnathan Rice and Farmer Dave, amongst others.  The podcast I heard was actually recorded in 2006, highlighting the first solo record by Jenny, plus introduces a few songs from the second album, including the title track, "Acid Tongue " and "See Fernando".  

Jenny will surely be bringing it come 'Roo.  She's got style, she's got sass, and if you want to be entertained, I know her set is one you will want to check out.
