Sorry I'm a little late in posting this show preview, but I've been tossing around playlist ideas all day and I only just settled on what I'm going to play tonight. As you guys know, I missed last Monday's show because I was super sick and had no voice (a bit of a gravelly voice can be hot, yes, but not when you sound like a 95 year old frog), and I was particularly bummed, because last Tuesday was a stellar release day, and I wanted to share some of the excellent newness hitting stores. Well, since being sick meant that I didn't really keep up with new music over the course of the last week and a half or so, and since tomorrow is a slow release day, and since I'm the DJ and I can do whatever I want, I'm going to play some of my favorites from last week's new releases.
That means that M. Ward's Hold Time is this week's featured album of the week - it's way, way too phenomenal to not share. I'll also play some new Vetiver, Fol Chen and Here We Go Magic as well, because all three of those albums are great.
AND, once again, since I'm the DJ and can do whatever I want, I think it's time to share some NEW newness. I'm talking brand new tracks that aren't out on their respective albums for a while, but are too excellent not to hear NOW. Like new Doves, new Phoenix and new Non-Commissioned Officers. (And I'd tease even more, because I have more goodies, but I don't know what I'm going to have time to play.)
So tune in at 7!
