July 7 show preview

The Summer of Guest DJs rolls on, and my very first guest for the month of July is Michael Eades of Yewknee.com.  Michael's an old pro at this guest-DJing thing - he joined me for a show last summer - and tonight's show is going to be a celebration of the launch of his annual Summer Mix Series, which just went up last week. You may have noticed I just posted my own submission for the series a few minutes ago, and I encourage you to go, check out the mixes and submit your own if you are so inclined.  It's a great way to hear some excellent music you may not be familiar with, and a great way to maybe experience music you know in a completely different context.

In addition to curating the Summer Mix Series, Michael can usually be found writing about whatever he's been listening to lately over on Yewknee, as well as keeping up with local shows and music news over on We Own This Town.  He's always sending tips and recommendations my way, so we can certainly expect him to bring some great tunes to the show tonight.  In fact, I think he may even be theming up the two hours, so be sure to tune in so you can check out the show.
