I'm guest DJ-less for tonight's show, so we'll be taking a mini-break from the Summer of Guest DJs so I can spend two hours flying solo. And you know what? I'm excited to say that I have a BUNCH of excellent new music to share with you. I haven't really noticed how quickly my iPod has been filling up lately with the stuff that has been hitting my inbox (and real mailbox, as a matter of fact), but once I sat down to create a playlist for tonight's show, it turned out to be an absolute breeze.
So, tune in tonight at ten, and you'll hear new stuff by - Dr. Dog, Sigur Ros, Bound Stems, Kyle Andrews, The Features, Apollo Up!, Ben Sollee, Florence and the Machine and Electric President, just to name a few. I'm also going to take a nice little look at tomorrow night's French Kicks and Frightened Rabbit show (which is my concert pick of the week) and I'll have this week's concert calendar to keep you in the loop (along with a nice little list of stuff coming up in the next few months that deserves a mark on your calendar).
