Playlist - October 13
Did everyone have a good weekend? Mine was blissfully quiet - aside from a wedding that I went to on Friday, the only times I got out of the house were to grocery shop earlier today and to do my radio show yesterday. It was definitely nice to kick back and catch up on my sleep and my reading - I haven't had much time for the 36-book quest in the past two months so I've fallen a little behind.
It's going to be a bit of a quiet week as well - the concert calendar isn't that jam-packed and Tuesday is a little light on new releases. One that is definitely worth checking out is the featured album of the week - Maritime's Heresy & The Hotel Choir. It's absolutely excellent, and two of the songs have been taking turns getting stuck in my head since yesterday's show.
Are you headed out to anything this week? I'm hopefully going to check out some local EP release parties on Wednesday (there are two to choose from), I have tickets to Kings of Leon/Black Rebel Motorcycle Club/Manchester Orchestra on Thursday (more on that later), and you will ABSOLUTELY see me at the Hotpipes/Howlies show on Saturday night (definitely expect a full preview later this week).
Hopefully this will help you decide what to do (and buy) this week:
